CrossFit Ceylon Re-opening Overview

CrossFit Ceylon will be planning to enter Phase 2 in a staggered approach with regards to re-introducing facilities and increasing facility capacity.

The phases of reopening will continue to be in accordance with the most current prevailing Government & Health Authority guidelines.

Phase 2 Overview

GENERAL OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW

Operational hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 05:30AM – 08:00PM
Saturdays, Sundays & Mercantile holidays: 07:30AM – 3:00P

  • Memberships that expired on or before 16 March are able to renew. Effective 13 July.
  • No new memberships allowed.
  • No drop-ins allowed.
  • Increased class sizes, open gym during peak hours will be introduced.
  • Cleaning and sanitization protocol remains the same as Phase 1.
  • CrossFit Kids program (CK Kids & CF Tweens) will be on pause till August.
  • For Phase 2, persons under the age of 17 and below are not allowed into facility unless reserved for a class/program.
  • Limited Shower facility will be available.
  • Lost & Found will not be active. Any items left behind by members will be disposed of on the same day.
  • We shall temporarily be accepting the following payments modes only:
    • Online bank transfers
    • Credit card payments

CLASSES

  • From Monday, 13 July class sizes will be increased to;
    BOX : 12 pax
    STUDIO : 8 pax
    *We plan to further increase class sizes in the main box to 15 pax by 17 August ‘20.
  • We will continue to maintain a 30-minute break in between classes for cleaning and sanitization purposes.
  • Reservations are required via Wodify to guarantee access to class/open gym.
  • Wait-list option will still be available, however, members cannot enter the gym without a reservation. (i.e. you cannot wait at reception for a “No-show”)
  • “3 strikes Policy” cancellation policy still remains in effect.
  • The following items are now mandatory to bring for class:
    • Your own towel.
    • Your own water bottle.
    • Pair of training shoes (to be brought in separately and worn in the Box only).
    • Mask (to wear when before and after exercise, NOT during workout)
  • NEW Guidelines & Protocol for Reservations & Conduct are listed below.

IMPORTANT
Please note that members will only be allowed to book into 1 class or open gym block per day.

OPEN GYM

  • Open Gym: Peak Hours will now be offered.
    Mondays – Fridays: 06:00AM – 07:30AM | 07:30AM – 09:00AM
    05:00PM – 06:30PM | 06:30  – 08:00PM
    IMPORTANT: Peak hour open gym blocks can be booked on the Wodify app under “CrossFit” program and NOT under “Open Gym” program.
  • Open Gym: Off-Peak Hour timings remain the same.
    Mondays – Fridays: 10:30AM – 4:30PM
    Saturdays, Sundays & Mercantile holidays: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
  • Reservations are mandatory to guarantee access to the facility.
  • Open Gym is capped at 3 pax per session for peak hours and 10 pax per session during off-peak hours.
  • Open Gym are 90 minutes per session.
  • “3 strikes” cancellation policy applies to Open Gym during peak hours.
  • All policies regarding open gym etiquette must be adhered to.
  • Individuals that book into open gym during peak hours can only use workout stations demarcated in the gymnastics area.
  • There will strictly be no usage of the main rig and/or equipment utilized by classes for individuals that book into open gym peak hour blocks.

PERSONAL TRAINING

  • Personal Training shall continue to only be offered during off-peak timings.
  • Personal Training timings:
    Mondays – Fridays : 10:30AM – 4:30PM
    Saturdays, Sundays & Mercantile holidays: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
  • Group Personal Training up to a max of 2 pax per session can be conducted.
  • All policies regarding checking in/member conduct must be adhered to.

SHOWER FACILITY

  • Limited shower facilities will be introduced from Monday, 27 July. To use this facility, members will need to book their shower slots in Wodify.
  • 4 shower slots per Men/Women will be available after each class. Each shower is capped at 15mins.
  • Shower slots can only be reserved if you have a confirmed reservation for a previous class or open gym session. Special car park slots will be allocated for these reservations during peak hours.

Protocol for Members who have Reservations

  • It is mandatory to bring:
    • Towel.
    • Water bottle. (only refills of your container will be allowed/No drinking directly.
    • Your training shoes (not be worn from home/work/errands to Box).
    • Mask (to be worn before and after exercise, NOT to be worn during workout).
  • Please show up 15-20 mins before your reserved class to “check-in” at Front Desk.
  • Please wash your hands at WB outside OR use the hand disinfectant at entrance before entering facility.
  • Wipe your shoes on the disinfectant mat before entering the facility.
  • Check-in at Front Desk so OUR TEAM can:
    • Check your temperature
    • Sign you into class (No kiosks will be used, you have to check-in with FD team).
    • Assign your workout station.
  • Members are to leave their footwear in the shoe rack available at Reception and change into their training shoes once in the reception area only. Please DO NOT wear your workout shoes from home. work/errands to Box.
  • Members are to observe social distancing of 1.5m at all times in all areas of the facility.
  • Members that have booked into a class in the Studio will need to leave their footwear and personal items in the storage provided in the Studio.

Protocol for Member Conduct (Class|Open Gym|PT)

  • Please wash/sanitize your hands before & after class. Avoid touching your face during class. Sanitize before and after touching.
  • Sharing of equipment is not permitted.
  • Floors will be demarcated into workout stations, each person has a dedicated space.
  • Each member is to stay in their allocated station for the duration of the class (with the exception of collecting/returning equipment).
  • Members must observe social distancing when getting and returning equipment.
  • Partner workouts where any contact is required is strictly not permitted.
  • No physical contact such as high fives, fist bumps etc.
  • Members are required to keep their t-shirts/tops on.
  • Chalk and taped bars and equipment are not permitted.
  • Class briefings are to be delivered with members is in their allocated station.
  • Member is responsible for cleaning/wiping down their equipment and their own locker at the end of class (cleaning items will be provided).
  • Members will not be allowed to stay after class to hang out and socialize in facility.
  • Members are to exit the facility 15 minutes before the start of the next scheduled class to avoid any crossover between classes.
  • Members will not be allowed into the facility during Phases 1 & 2 if they are not reserved into a class/open gym /PT session.
  • Members will need to follow directional floor signs for flow IN and OUT of the Box.

Protocol for Shower Usage effective 27 July

  • Please reserve your shower timings via the Wodify app.
  • Members can only book the shower slot directly after your reserved class/open gym block.
  • Please note that shower timing is restricted to 15 minutes. You may use an additional 15 minutes to get dressed.
  • Please refrain from spitting, urinating and/or blowing your nose in the shower cubicle.
  • Members will need to bring their own towel and additional toiletries (only shower gel will be provided).
  • All personal items must be removed from the locker prior to exiting the facility.
  • Members must continue to observe social distancing when in the changing rooms.
  • Members are responsible for cleaning/wiping down their own locker (inside and outside) after use.
  • 8 special car park slots will be allocated by 27 July for the members that reserve showers during peak hours.

We understand that the limited showers are not ideal, however, the re-introduction of the shower facility can only be offered in this way while still being in compliance with the Health Authority’s hygiene and social distancing guidelines.

Guidelines for Orders @ Natural Eats Café

  • For Phase 2 there will limited dine-in at the Natural Eats Café.
  • Customers will be limited to 3 pax at any given time at designated seating spots.
  • For all orders please:
    • Place them at least 15 mins before pick-up time
      OR
    • You may call 0771 359 161 to place your order in advance.
  • All orders will be labelled and left at the “COLLECTION” area on counter.
  • Preferred Payment mode for Café:
    • Credit card
      *Card machine will be sanitized by staff after each transaction.
    • Cash
      *If necessary, please sanitize your hands before and after cash handling.
